My first visit was in 2009, back when Cassily was still actively working on it. Some people, maybe even the man himself, were onsite working at the time and we just did our best to avoid them (we were there exploring the place without permission). Notable about the first trip was that the USS Inaugural's gun(s?) was still there. Apparently the gun(s) mysteriously disappeared sometime later and as far as I know "nobody knows" what happened to them. Mine might be the last/only photo of said guns at Cementland before their disappearance? Either way, we were pretty excited to see what might become of this huge industrial playground.. but then all our hopes were dashed with his untimely end.
